Year in Review

I am amazed at how fast the year 2011 has gone by!
It has certainly been a very exciting one for us.

January

The Big Snow Storm! Schools were closed for an entire week! Jason was of course out and about in his 4 wheel drive the first day!

We also had our first bridal shower.

February

I started this blog! :)

We started getting the basement ready for the Ellis's!

And had another bridal shower!

March

Kristen and Daniel got married!

And Jason celebrated his 28th birthday!

April

I started working at my first job after graduation.

Jason preached on Easter Sunday in his new pink shirt.

May

Probably the most eventful month of the year!
I graduated from pharmacy school.

Jason and I finally got married!

And we spent our honeymoon in the beautiful St. Lucia!

June

I finally became a licensed pharmacist!

July

I celebrated my 24th birthday!

August

Jason and I took a spontaneous trip to Helen and visited Charlemagne's Kingdom
It is a to scale replica of old time Germany built over many, many years by a man and his wife.
It was very cool to see, and we learned some history!

September

We spent a wonderful week at the beach!

We went to almost all of the UGA home games.

Jason performed his second wedding ceremony- for our nephew and new niece!

October

We went to the Tennessee vs. LSU game in Knoxville.

November

We celebrated Thanksgiving and the start of my new full time job!

2011 was a great year. I am looking forward to what God has in store for us in 2012!
Happy New Year!!

Our First Christmas

Christmas came and went so quickly this year! We have been so busy with Christmas parties, dinners with friends, and work that the time flew by.

I hope everyone had a very merry Christmas. Jason and I certainly did. We celebrated our first Christmas as a married couple! Very exciting.

I loved having our own tree. We decided to get a real one. I really don't want to take it down. I think it's pretty, and it was so much work. But I guess it will have to come down this weekend.

We were able to spend a lot of time with our families over the long Christmas weekend. We had Christmas Eve dinner with my parents and brother and his girlfriend. Then we were able to go to the Christmas Eve service at Shadowbrook together before heading to Jason's aunt's house for Christmas with his extended family.

On Christmas day we woke up and had breakfast and opened presents with my family. Then we headed to Jason's parent's house for Christmas dinner, more presents, bingo, and white elephant!

Here are some pictures, although I didn't take nearly enough!

Our stockings; Even Daisy got one!

 Gifts under our tree!

 Our Tree

One of our gifts: a reindeer for each of us!

I am so thankful for Christmas to celebrate the greatest gift of all- the birth of our Savior- and to spend precious time with family.

"But when the right time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman, subject to the law. God sent him to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law, so that he could adopt us as his very own children." Galations 4:4-5
